Every young person has potential, but finding a positive direction is not always easy. Challenges at home, school or within the community can affect confidence, relationships, education and future opportunities. Having the right support at the right time can help young people recognise their strengths and begin moving forward.

A strong sense of identity can provide young people with an important foundation as they navigate school, family life, community relationships and the challenges of growing up. For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, connection to culture, Country, family and community can be an especially important part of that journey.

For young people, having the right people around them can make a meaningful difference. Strong relationships with family, community, culture and trusted mentors can help young people feel supported, understood and connected to something bigger than themselves.
