Alexis leads the Regional Reset team, coordinating intensive support for young people stepping away from the justice system. A Kuku Yalanji, Ayapathu and Lama Lama woman, she builds culturally strong plans with young people and their families and guides mentors on the ground every day.

What do you enjoy the most about working with young people: Guiding young people on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves, building confidence, strengthening cultural connections, and creating opportunities for a brighter future.

What does culture mean to you:

Culture means everything to me. It shapes who I am, guides my values, and keeps me connected to my people, my identity, and where I come from. It is the foundation of everything I believe in today.

What message would you like to share with young people:

Everyone’s journey is different, and that’s okay. We see you, we hear you. Age is just a number. You have your whole life ahead of you to achieve amazing things and become whoever you aspire to be.
