Khail is a Cultural Mentor with connections across Birriah, Kuku Yalanji, Tjapukai/Irukanji, Yidinji, Kuku Djungan and Gimuy Walubara Yidinji Country. He trains, hunts and yarns with young people, passing down cultural knowledge and showing them what they are capable of.

What do I enjoy most about working with young people:

what I enjoy most about working with young people is knowing that i can change a kids life for the better when they listen to the advices we give, training with them & hunting with them passing down cultural knowledge & showing them they can be amazing & achieve great things in their own way & being their to help them take steps for the better makes my heart warm.

What does culture mean to me?

Culture means everything to me, it’s our healing, our dna, our blood, our life, keeps me reminded of who we were & who we are now, it keeps you inline as well, I love our culture & our people such a blessing being Indigenous.

What message would I like to share with young people?

No dream is to big, if you put your mind to it & work hard, you can achieve anything you like, it just comes down to you & how bad you want it
